Terms and conditions of use

The Generfid S.p.A. website (the Site or the Generfid S.p.A. Site) is an online information service provided by Generfid S.p.A. (“Generfid S.p.A.”). Its use is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions set out below. Use of the site will be regarded as irrevocable acceptance of these conditions.

Limits on use

The content of the pages of the Generali Site is the property of Generfid. The content of the Generfid Site may not, in whole or in part, be copied, reproduced, transferred, uploaded, published or distributed in any manner without the prior written consent of Generfid, without prejudice to the possibility to print excerpts from the pages of this Site for personal use only.

The trademarks and logos that appear on this Site are the property of Generfid or of its respective successors-in-interest. They may not be used on any website other than the Generfid Site without the prior written consent of Generfid. The Generfid name and any trademark that includes the GENERFID trademark cannot be used as Internet addresses of other sites, or as part of such addresses, without prior written consent from Generfid.

Limitations of liability

The information on this Site is provided in good faith and Generfid regards it as accurate. In any event, the data, opinions and headings (calendar of the shareholders’ meetings, calendar of the Board of Directors, press releases, presentations, etc.) contained in the Generfid site are provided solely for the purposes of information regarding Generfid’s activities, and Generfid does not guarantee that the information contained on this Site will be constantly up to date. The use of data and information in support of decisions regarding personal investment transactions is at the user’s sole risk.

The information contained in this Site is produced from sources internal to Generfid. Generfid may modify the content and functional and operational conditions of the Site at any time, at its sole discretion and without any advance notice. Generfid shall ensure that the information contained in the Site meets the requirements of reliability, correctness, accuracy and currency, to the fullest possible extent. However, Generfid disclaims any and all liability with regard to any errors or inaccuracies in the content of such information attributable to causes beyond its control. Where the information published on the Site is attributable to third-party sources, Generfid is not liable for its content, completeness, truthfulness and currency. Furthermore, Generfid is not liable for damages due to any disruptions, suspensions, delays or anomalies in the provision of the Site’s service due to the supply of electricity or telephone service, to the poor functioning of the Internet network or to any other causes beyond Generfid’s control.

Generfid’s server is located in Italy. Generfid makes no representations as to whether the content of or any document contained in the Site is suitable or available for use outside of Italy or by foreign citizens residing in Italy. Users who decide to access the Site from other countries or as foreign citizens do so at their own initiative and at their exclusive risk. All persons who access the Site must, under their exclusive responsibility, comply with national laws where and to the extent applicable. In particular, they must comply with all applicable legislation governing the transmission of data exported from Italy. None of the information contained in the Generfid Site constitutes investment advice or recommendations, solicitation or invitation by Generfid to purchase or sell financial instruments; some information is present on the Site inasmuch as its inclusion is mandatory or recommended by laws, regulations and corporate governance codes.

The information and services provided by the Generfid Site cannot be used, downloaded or imported in foreign countries or by foreign citizens where applicable law in those countries or to those citizens contains provisions contrary to their use, dissemination or communication, or in countries in which Generfid is not authorised to provide such information and services. Some products or services described on the Generfid Site might not be accessible in all countries and to all users. Release by the user

By accessing the Generfid Site, the user assumes full liability for, and agrees to hold Generfid harmless from any and all third-party claims arising from the use of the Generfid Site and all losses, costs, actions, proceedings, claims, damages and expenses (including legal costs and expenses) or liability incurred by or ascribed to, directly or indirectly, Generfid as a consequence of such use of the Site or of non-compliance with or failure to adhere to any of these terms and conditions by the user.

Generfid assumes no liability for materials created or published by third parties to which the Generfid Site has a link. Those who decide to visit a Site linked to the Generfid Site do so at their own risk, assuming the obligation to take all necessary measures against viruses or other harmful elements. Links to other sites do not imply that Generfid is affiliated with the entities that provide the services described in those sites.

Information received by Generfid

All materials sent to Generfid, such as e-mails or through World Wide Web pages, will be regarded as non-confidential in nature. Generfid will not have obligations of any sort with respect to such materials and will be free to reproduce, use, exhibit, transform, make derived works from and distribute them to third parties, without limits. Furthermore, Generfid will be free to use all ideas, concepts, know-how or technical knowledge contained in such materials, for all purposes, including, without limitation, the development, production and marketing of products using such materials. Any person who sends materials warrants that they are publishable and agrees to hold Generfid harmless from any third-party actions in respect of such materials.

Cookies

A ‘cookie’ (a small data file that some websites may send the visitor when they are visited) may be found in all parts of the Generfid Site in order to track the Visitor’s navigation of the Site. Those who prefer not to receive cookies may configure their browsers to alert them to the presence of a cookie and then decide whether to accept it. Law and jurisdiction

The Court of Trieste, Italy, will have sole jurisdiction and competence in respect to all disputes relating to these terms and conditions in any manner. Nonetheless, Generfid reserves the right, where it deems it necessary, to take action before the courts of countries other than Italy or cities other than Trieste, to protect its interests and uphold its rights.
